That means you get the low-light performance and shallow depth of field usually reserved for 24–70mm lenses, but with extra reach for portraits, punch-ins, or anything that needs a bit more compression.

In other words: it’s two of Canon’s most loved zooms rolled into one, without the usual trade-offs.

It’s sharp, solid, and built for serious work. You get up to 5.5 stops of stabilisation, dual Nano USM motors for silent AF, and it’s parfocal too—ideal for smooth focus pulls. Add the optional power zoom adapter and this becomes a serious cinema-friendly lens, too.
